Last night was scary.
Very.
But in any important relationship, unless you're in serious denial, its impossible to be conflict free. So the question becomes, what then do we do with those moments? Do we freak out, blow up, give up, run and flee? The best relationships (i think) aren't devoid of conflict and anxiety and pain, but rather, they experience those discomforts, process it, and come out the other side; resulting in a new appreciation and respect for each other, greater intimacy and even ::gulp:: reinforced love.
Dammit, I don't care what anyone says,
We DO kick ass.
